PICKUP – a dating coach in Las Vegas. Over the past eight years, I’ve personally coached and worked with over 900 clients in Las Vegas helping them get more results with women. Today’s session is about a topic that gets thrown around quite a bit, whether it’s in the comments or in different videos. It’s the idea that PICKUP is simply a numbers game. There is some truth but a lot of people are just oversimplifying this concept. Obviously, if you don’t approach, your chances are zero. Chances are if you’re watching pick up content or dating, you’re not so good looking that girls are approaching you. Odds of girls approaching guys is slim to none unless there’s just the model. The responsibility ultimately falls on the guy. Based on that logic, if you don’t approach, you’re probably not going to get girls. But however, when has life when has the game of life been just one variable?
- Is it average just one variable?
- Is the key to a good car just having a nice tire?
- Is the key to a car just having a big engine?
- Is the key success in life just an IQ?
- Is the key to getting girls just the numbers game?
If that was the case, then it would just be one equation ‘X’ equals ‘Y’. Y being the frequency of getting girls and X is just the number of approaches. In the real world, it’s much more complex than that. At the end of the day, in my mind, there are three main numbers that kind of govern your ultimate results with women. Whether it’s sex, girlfriend, dating, you can define whatever metrics you want to measure.
Key’s To Approach
There’s three numbers.
- The first number is just the total amount of Interaction/Approaches/Impression. It could be, if you guys do e-commerce, Facebook or whatever is the number of impressions. It could be you approaching a girl or like matching a draw on line. May be you dreaming of a girl or like your mom setting you up with an arranged date, whatever it could be a blind date. All these fall in the category of you shooting your shot, you interacting, engaging with a person of the opposite sex. I will say that this is proportionally related to the results that you’re going to get. If you approach five girls on average, you’re probably going to get five times the results then if you approach one girl. The law of averages comes into play. A lot of PICKUP channels, a lot of people, they oversimplify and they stop there.
- Secondly, It depends on your Skill & Conversion Rate level. Let’s say you’re running a commercial. You’re showing this commercial to millions of people but your commercial is not fruitful. Is it going to convert a lot of sales? No, it’s not. You might have a big numbers game. You might have a big reach, a big impression, but your sales copy, your ad sucks and people don’t like your commercial. This happens a lot in PICKUP. A lot of times, especially with RSD people, it’s like they don’t focus on their image. They don’t focus on their lifestyle. They don’t focus on getting their s**t together and they run a pure numbers game. You can understand, approaching a hundred girls is better than approaching one girl but a hundred times zero is still zero (100 Approaches X 0 Skill = 0 Girls). Can you understand what I’m saying? These two numbers are huge. It’s the amount of girls you approach times your conversion rate (Approaches X Conversion Rate = Girls). A lot of this conversion rate stuff is based on your skill. It’s based on your presentation. You can’t neglect this area. Depending on what you’re liking, working on one area that has the lowest number is going to cause the highest increase in results. Because you have to understand, you get to a point where you hit a hard cap on your limit. For example, if you’re making money and you’re trading time for money. Let’s say you work at McDonald’s, you make seven dollars an hour and you work 40 hours a week, then you make $280 (two hundred eighty dollars). Work 80 hours a week and double that. Now you’re making $560 (five hundred and sixty dollars) a week. But can you work 120 hours a week? Can you work 300 hours a week? No you can’t because now you’re hitting a hard limit, which is the number of hours in a week. I see a lot of pick up guys, they run into this, they’re chopping themselves into this problem when they’re running pure numbers games. They’re not focusing on quality. They’re just focusing on volume. These guys will wait outside the club and they’ll just be there’s not even pick up. Our strategy approach is like a hundred girls coming out of the club, sometimes you get lucky but the odds are very small. You’re getting very slim pickings. You’re also not practicing your pick up. Something I’ll make in a different video. Where you mean girls, where you practice, drives your growth, drives what you’re going to learn. If you go to a game in Miami, you’re going to pick more Spanish. If you go to a high-end club, a lounge, you’re going to meet more intelligent girls, going to have different sets of conversation that you go to like a big booty Latin club or just girls talking. A lot of guys will run numbers games to the extreme. They’re raising this number very high, but they’re neglecting their conversion rates. These two both have to be high. Let’s say you have 10 units of stat points, if you put five in approach, five in conversion (5 Approaches X 5 Conversion =25) the multiplication of that is twenty five versus if you put nine points in approach, one point and conversion ability (9 Approaches X 1 Conversion = 9), well 25 is a bigger number than 9. Spreading your attributes in both of these cases is going to give you a higher output in terms of getting girls.
- Lastly, it’s also your target Audience. That’s the third number. You can approach a good amount of girls, you could have a good presentation, you have good conversion but you’re hitting the wrong audience. You’re not going to places where the girls are meeting our prime. They’re just not good sets. This is also something that can yield huge improvements on your results. For example, you could be approaching 50 girls a day. You can have really good skill set but you go to a Muslim Mosque, I’ve never actually approached anyone. As I’m just saying, you go something like that and you approach, are you going to pull? I’m just going to assume that you’re probably not. You open girls at a church, probably not the best place. You open in girls in San Francisco, probably going to get a shitty hook rate. One example will be like, you’re selling Facebook ads on Facebook. You have a product, maybe it’s the best wheelchair in the world. Your target audience is senior citizens, but you’re targeting 20 year olds. You have the best copy in the world, the best product but you’re targeting the wrong audience and you’re not going to sell. You can give this best wheelchair commercial to millions of 20 year olds. Nobody’s going to buy it because it’s the wrong audience. You have to look at all three numbers and assess and see which one is above average, which runs average and which one is below average. Maybe you have some that are above average, some below, maybe all of them are below average. This is where I recommend if you’re a beginner, which attributes you want to focus on first? when you’re new, approaching is the most important one. Shooting your shot, making that impression, interacting, starting the interaction is the number one factor. But the problem is a lot of people get stuck on just that. Once you can approach comfortably and you can approach 15-20 girls a night, that’s a good amount of approaching. I would say if you can approach 20 girls a night, don’t focus more on more approaches. If you’re doing 50 approaches a night like you’re just spamming approaches. You’re not thinking, as I say a lot of guys, they just like to see a girl with a guy. The guy’s like going in the bathroom. They approach like, what do you expect? The guy is going to come back.
Focus on quality
You have to open sets and think first, observe, take a couple of seconds. After you can consistently approach 15 to 20 sets a night, you don’t need to do more. Focus on quality, focus on lengthening the set. I would say after the first two or three months of approaching, then ramp up your interaction time. Time is king. The longer you are in set, the higher the probability of that being a pull (
Longer Time In Set = Higher % To Pull). If you talk to a girl for 10 hours, is there a high chance that you end up back at somebody’s house probably right at midnight and you’re still talking to her at 10:00 in the morning? Hopefully it ended up in somebody’s bedroom. By increasing the length of time, you’re obviously the girl still talking to you. So your verbal skills are improving. You’re also improving your logistics, being able to deal with critical moments, being able to if she goes to the bathroom, you find a reason to stay with the set, not losing the girl. Focus on the quality. I would say for me, when I first started out, that’s what I did. I lived in Temecula. It was really *** city. I didn’t have a lot of money and didn’t know people. Then I started small but didn’t have the best venue. First two months, I would just focus on approaching. Then I got comfortable approaching. Now I can maximize the interaction time, 20 minutes, 30 minutes.
Unlocked the final key
I would drive to San Diego and I lived an hour away. I couldn’t pull. But that’s OK. Focus on now 30 minutes sets and 60 minutes. That’s ultimately 90 minutes. If you can last 90 minutes in an interaction. Well, guess what? Once you change the logistics, everything changes. Then at that point I was like I had the first two criteria handled. I could approach, so a number of impressions and I could last long enough to potentially convert if it was the right audience. Then 2013 came along and I moved to Vegas and then my pull rate skyrocketed. What changed? I didn’t really get any better. I mean by 2013, I’ve already done like five thousand approaches. So what change was the criteria number three? Changing your location, changing the place, changing the audience, changing the logistics. These unlocked the final key to essentially getting a lot of girls. Now I have all three sorts of pieces of the puzzle, once I combine it all together, now I’ll have like 80 percent pull rate per night. If somebody puts a gun to my head or somebody offers me, hey Mike stop teaching, I just want to watch you do pick up. I’ll pay you a million dollars a year to just pick up every single day with an 80 percent pull rate and go out 365 days.
Summary
My leg count is probably like 250-300. Obviously I’m working, so I’m not going out that much. In fact I’m pretty much only going out to work these days. Hopefully you get an idea of each of these three parameters and which one is important. You’re going to have to assess where you are in this map. Which one are you missing the most? That’s pretty much all I have to say, understand pickup isn’t just a numbers game. It’s three numbers, number of impressions, times your skill or conversion times how ideal your target audience is (
Approaches X Conversion X Audience = Girls). In summary, figure out which one you’re lacking and work on your worst attribute that’s going to drive your results significantly.
